Jim-
It's all kind of a blend when you use CNX2 for sharpening, because its so easy to do selective sharpening (creative) combined with your "capture" sharpening. I do those together in one USM step (and sometimes add High Pass sharpening as a creative step). I add a second round of "output" sharpening after resizing for print/web.

Speaking of Capture NX2... one point that went over my head originally. In your ebook, you mention sharpening to take out the anti-aliasing filter effect. I take it that is something that should be done up front in the processing work flow (?). Then you talk about output sharpening. Ok, do I have this right in that you recommend upfront anti-aliasing sharpening, followed by whatever processing one wants, followed by output sharpening? I realize that one has to always keep track of any noise that gets introduced by this work flow or was in the original capture... Thanks, Jim

If you want to have more than one 'Open With' application called from NX2, here is a link to a small (free) program that allows you to have up to 12 programs listed, and select from the list each time.
