I’m back from my final 2012 Photo Safari, and here’s a shot where I tried something a little different. The mid-day lighting conditions for the original were a bit harsh, and the trees on the west side of Rocky Mountain National Park have been hit hard by the bark beetles (leaving many of them gray and dead). So sometimes just sit back and enjoy the mood.

This was simply done using motion blur filters in Photoshop CS6. I also used the “fibers” filter in a separate layer to create texture.
